Professor of Art Sue Johnson is mentioned in The Washington Post exhibition review by Mark Jenkins (April 12, 2019) of the exhibition “Misprints” at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center, Hyattsville, Maryland.  Johnson is among the 24 artists included in the exhibition that focuses on the curious ‘accidents,’ some purposeful, that can happen during the process of printmaking.

Jenkins notes that “Sue Johnson’s intaglios are impeccably made, but they’re printed on paper with text, designs or flaws that compete with the image.”  Six works from Johnson’s series “Printer’s Proofs from Evolutionary Paths” (1995) are included in the exhibition that will be on view through April 19.
