Andrew Cognard-Black published in Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council

Visiting Associate Professor of Sociology Andrew Cognard-Black recently co-authored the article “Institutional Variability in Honors Admissions Standards, Program Support Structures, and Student Characteristics, Persistence, and Program Completion” in the most recent volume of the Journal of the National Collegiate Honors Council. Patricia J. Smith and April L. Dove were co-authors.

Cognard-Black joined the faculty at St. Mary’s in 2003. He is primarily trained as a sociologist, receiving both his master’s degree and Ph.D. from Ohio State University. Cognard-Black also has a master’s degree in English language and literature from Iowa State University.
