Visiting Assistant Professor
Biography
I work at the intersection of Human-Computer Interaction, Software Engineering, and Computer Science education. My dissertation looked at how experienced software developers work together, and I use what I learned to guide my teaching and create learning environments that help students build both problem-solving and professional skills. Going forward, I want to keep teaching and researching side by side, helping students become strong programmers and good teammates.
I have an M.S. in Computer Science and a Certificate in Engineering Education from North Carolina State University. I was selected for NC State's Preparing the Professoriate program and Mentored Teaching Fellowship, and I am a Cultural Competence in Computing (3C) Fellow.
