Biography
Rich Edgar serves as a development officer at St. Mary’s College of Maryland, where he partners with alumni, donors, and campus colleagues to strengthen the College’s mission and long-term sustainability. His work is shaped by deep institutional knowledge and a lifelong commitment to students. Prior to joining advancement, Rich spent 25 years in the Office of Admissions (1987–2012), including service as the longest-sitting Director of Admissions in the College’s history and assistant men's soccer coach from 2001 - 2011. During that time, he guided generations of students and families in understanding the value of a St. Mary’s education while leading teams focused on access, enrollment, and student success.
Today, Rich brings that same student-centered perspective to philanthropy—connecting our alumni’s personal values with meaningful opportunities that support scholarships, programs, and the future of the Seahawk community.
