Patricia Samford

Biography

Patricia Samford has been practicing historical archaeology for over thirty years, with experience primarily in the Chesapeake and North Carolina. She is currently the director of the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory at Jefferson Patterson Park and Museum. In addition to numerous publications in journals and edited volumes, she has also published Subfloor Pits and the Archaeology of Slavery in Colonial Virginia (2007).
