Melissa Golowski

Biography

Melissa is a graduate of McDaniel College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in History and
International Relations and a minor in French. In August 2017 Melissa began working at St.
Mary's College of Maryland through IEP, a study abroad consulting company and served as the
Study Abroad Advisor for the campus until March 2020. In July 2020 Melissa began working in
the career center as the Internship Coordinator and developed a new passion for helping
students achieve their professional goals. In April 2021 Melissa transitioned into the role as the Employer Relations
& Events Coordinator through which she gets the opportunity to build and strengthen employer partnerships, plan and execute career development events, and provide career coaching to students and alumni.

In addition to Melissa's work at the Center for Career & Professional Development, Melissa is currently the Staff Senate President and the Historian for the Phi Beta Kappa Zeta Chapter of MD. Melissa is also a Zumba instructor and teaches Zumba classes at SMCM!
