DeSousa-Brent Summer Light Experience
The DeSousa-Brent Scholars Program (DB) is excited and gearing up for the Summer Light Experience, taking place July 14 - 23. Summer Light is DB's way of welcoming our incoming first-year scholars to campus. This required nine-day program helps prepare them for college life. For example, they'll take college courses with our faculty, attend workshops, meet campus staff, have a roommate, learn the ins and outs of their campus - plus, if successfully completed, they will earn two academic credits. Our peer mentor staff, led by Head Mentors Gaby Miranda and Tamani Kingsland, are super excited about the 2023 cohort's arrival and already working to organize a fantastic Light Experience! We all look forward to seeing you soon.
